Qualcomm Innovates

At the Science Museum in London, I got to demo what Qualcomm is working on such as vision-based augmented reality technology, a colour display that reflects ambient light and a peer-to-peer recommendation service via Facebook. I also spoke to Qualcomm about the challenges of developing chipsets for competing operating systems as well as confirming and debunking some recent rumours.

How to Ignore your Friends and Categorise People

Last week, I went back to Paris to see Orange’s La Collection, a biannual showcase of new products and applications. There, I got a first-hand look at a futuristic touchscreen multimedia landline called Livephone Touch and two Android apps – TV D’Orange – a mobile TV app, now over WiFi and On, a new app that lets you ignore your contacts.
