The Peter Pan of Pop

The revolution will not be televised. As I saw tonight with the death of Michael Jackson, news broke on gossip blog TMZ and social media sites well over an hour before mainstream outlets confirmed he’d passed away.  Ask a young person where they were when they heard the news- and I guarantee most will say on Twitter or Facebook.

(Flashback- When I was a little girl in Lebanon, I used to have MJ trading cards. I remember telling my mom that when I was older I wanted to marry him.)

MJ was a legend.. and for that – here’s a video I took last Christmas when I was back home in Brooklyn. Mini MJ, as I like to call him, was dancing in Grand Central Station.
